MJ's little flock

Breakfast in bed with my friend.

She had been ignoring me since I got home. She appears to no longer be angry with me.

Does anyone use tumeric? It's worked wonders for me and my animal's. Not the battery girls Agatha and Tina they won't go near it , YET!
No.

Ever since Peggy's liver crashed, I feed the diet recommended by the avian vet, which is high protein pellets with added milk thistle, biotin, choline, and dimethyl glycine.

I made lunch for my feathered girl's this morning.

Eggs cooked over a pan of water with raw kale

Then added it too wet layers with calcium and minerals supplements and 1 cap of charcoal opened then mixed in

They have just had yogurt for desert

Here's the eggs process

Did you ever find out the protein % of the layers food?

Did she dust bathe?
I think so. I saw some sand heaved up in her vicinity but when I got there she stopped. She had a good meal and a good long drink. She'd been roughly a day and a half sitting.

Because I tripled the depth of the straw, I decided to leave her be until she gets up again. If her legs are cramped again, I'll interrupt her and get her back to a walking and standing lifestyle.

She looks wonderful. I will say this. While the nest may not be optimal, it is suitable. Sydney hatched from just such a nest and so have many other chickens. She chose that place because she feels the most safe there.
I understand Bob, but I'm not convinced it's suitable for Mary. She's already a slow mover (with possible joint problems) and I don't think a flat surface is her best option for brooding.
