MJ's little flock

Yes, the alcohol and radio one. The mirror one is lovely too. Much more delicate style. I am enjoying your gorgeous antique furniture. Maybe she wasn't looking for snacks but admiring your furniture too!

(I admired Ribh's rug too 🤗)
Very little of it is really mine. Most of it belonged to this or that aunt or cousin or grandies. But it makes for a lovely home!

Ribh's rug is never far from my comfy chair 🤗

Even better! They have memories and history in them.

I'm the youngest in my entire extended family. They seemed to like to "modernize" things, so there wasn't much in the way of lovely, old, solid wood furniture to pass along except my Nana's Singer sewing machine and table.

I wish I knew if any of my cousins had it and if they would be willing to hand it down to me...*Sigh*

I honestly think the main reason so much has been kept here is that Dad was very nostalgic for his childhood. He saw lots of value in this stuff. Nana wasn't fussed but as a single mother, she couldn't afford much modernising.

Are you friendly with your cousins? You could maybe reach out and see if one of them might entrust something to your care.

I never had much in common with them being "the baby". My sister keeps in contact though and is willing to ask. I just have to remind her. 😁

She really had a big explore didn't she? I guess she figured that since she couldn't find any apples or meal worms it wasn't worth hanging around. 😅

Those three pics where she comes right up to you are lovely portraits. You could enter them in POW I think.
I agree, POW material. At least wall-worthy!
