MJ's little flock

It is cooler. That's definitely part of the explanation.

But the hens have turned a corner with respect to me lately. I'm allowed to touch them a little bit now. Every night there's Peggy's ride on the escalator and I give Ivy a gentle pat, sometimes lightly brushing Mary's tail feathers at the same time. And Janet likes to follow me around.
I guess they think you're alright these days. No higher compliment.

:gigI've called a few but it's one of those things which is quite low down on the list. Given all the projects on offer in the house, the piano might get done within a decade 🧐 but I won't stress out if it takes longer.
😁 You did not say if you play or not. That's the mystery now.

Aurora is on it!

I used to have my grandmother’s 100 year-old piano, which was ornate like that one. It had a crack in the pin-board which meant it couldn’t be tuned to concert pitch, but it could be tuned within itself. So it was a semitone (half-step) off concert pitch, which really messed with my perfect pitch.

I am not surprised that you have perfect pitch. What an amazing gift.

It’s not so perfect these days, I have to keep recalibrating it. I haven’t really played any piano in the last two years. ☹️ I did record myself playing after I sat my Certificate of Performance; I could upload the pieces to YouTube if anyone is interested .
