You may be right. As I am remembering it Phyllis would eat and drink once she broke out of her trance. Then she would poo. Then she would dustbathe. After that grooming with the tribe. Then she would head back to the nest. She did not eat before going back onto the nest.

She obviously isn't clued in to the second feed part. For anyone else that may read this, hold back some treat food, a decent amount, and intercept the returning hen with it. If you're lucky (?) the hen will expect this after a couple of days and may even come and bug you for it before she goes back to her nest.

So pleased for you! I have no idea what logical regression is and I'm not fond of mathematics but I'm so pleased for you!

They're lovely people! Shy and very, very careful. Every now and then you find one who's a right oddball and then you've got to decide how comfy you are with that. I know one I avoid like the plague and another who cracks me up.

What do you think about setting a reminder in your phone?

It'll be annoying on almost every day when you've tucked them in for the night, but on the one rare day it slips your mind: reminder!!

I use reminders a lot.

Since you gave me this simple hint, I have never missed closing everyone in. I am eternally grateful for this simple suggestion. Even with me supervising free range time before bed, watching them go in, and personally locking them up, I have not turned off that reminder. So simple and effective.

I was so hoping 'quolls' was a typo, but then I consulted the oracle at Google and learned about yet another Australian carnivore. They actually look rather pretty and it sounds like they only eat smaller prey so not going to kill you.

They don't make good pets though. There was talk of trying to domesticate them to replace cats for a while but that was aborted as *they do not take to containment well*

Oh that's hilarious!! Can you imagine the state of the test environment? A quoll in a home at Christmas? What happened to the tree??? Damn quoll got uppity again.

Isn't it brilliant. These days the demands of life are so extreme that if I don't have reminders, I lose track.

I have reminders for eating better, exercising, and cleaning the house. Coming from a 'poor' family, I had to learn money management and used reminders for it, but nowadays it takes care of itself. Then there are the work related reminders for various commitments and goals.

The chapter was for an anthology and it's been sent off. They'll ask for a second draft at some point. I was extremely happy with how it turned out but I expect it could use some tightening up and a few months break from it will give me a fresh perspective and I'll see all the concepts that don't quite hang together.

The regression is for a different project, which I hope will produce a good paper. It's a topic few have written on but it has potential to expand, so I'm keen to dot the is and cross the ts properly. If the field of enquiry does expand, the paper should pick up citations, especially if it lands in the good journal.
