MJ's little flock

I caught my usual train home this evening. I was the only person in the carriage. A couple of stops further along the line every seat was taken and the aisle was full of people standing.
It was Gay Pride day in Bristol and I'm told the center of the city was packed.
It's excellent that turnout was that heavy. 🏳️‍🌈

I'm doing well, thank you for asking. I'm enjoying my time with the grandkids, but I wish we didn't spend so much time at the pool. They are all the swim team, so practice every week day.

How are things going for you, did you finish the chicken yard and I think you were building roots the last time I was here.
Oh Grammy. I am not a builder.
Two steps forward, one step back. Sometimes two or three steps back :barnie

But, I persist. One day I'll be proud of it.

Blossom sneaked into the run and hid under the hens'shelter last night.

:lauOne last shot of Ivy pretending to be glamourous like Aurora.

Here, we can see the elegant line and proportion of her headwear. If anyone can evoke Ascot on Ladies' Day from a rusty old garage, it's Ivy.
@RoyalChick this is the one I couldn't find last night! Took me all of a minute this morning with a fresh brain :lau

Just thought I'd share that Mary and Janet now trust me to touch them quite a lot while they're on the roost. I can pat their feet, chins, backs, and heads, and I can snip dried poops out of Mary's butt fluff.

This may seem like nothing special but it's a big deal because they've always disallowed it in the past.

Ivy and Peggy take it even further and stand on my hands without any fuss.
