MJ's little flock

Yay, Janet!
It's a relief. She's not sneezing as much as she was, that's for sure, and she doesn't have any mucus coming out of her eye or nose. She doesn't need to shake her head as much and she no longer rubs her head on her shoulder at all. I'll keep an eye on her though, because the sneezes are much reduced, but still not completely gone. There may be something other than bacterial overload in the mix.

Also, much as I advocate for veterinary care, ten trips to and from Mark's clinic in two weeks has been a little taxing in terms of getting other things done.

Mountaineer extraordinaire!
😍
Wasn't she just!

I've seen Mary do it too. It seems to occur when someone is getting ready to lay their first egg after a long break. It's like they can recall walking up a slope to a nest, but mistake the roof for the ramp. It's very cute :D

One more trip to Mark's clinic for Janet's clavulox to go.

During foraging this afternoon, she sneezed three times in one burst, shook her head once, and scratched her head once. She also had a very comfy sit on the back step for about ten minutes, some apple bites, quite a few weeds she dug up for herself, and a rather big dinner.

Sounds like a very happy and contented chicken. A good afternoon.

I would love to be able to discuss this with him. I've not seen any studies on it but it could be so. Fascinating.
I don’t know about becoming less effective, but for sure the dosing can be quite haphazard if one dose sits in the crop and another shoots right through the system.
