Thinking it through, it would be convenient if Mary's eggs/chicks were a little older when the pullets arrive. It would ease integration if the pullets can make use of the little coop after quarantine, but it won't be available until the chicks no longer need to sleep under Mary. In which case, I'm sure the pullets will be ok roosting in the sleepout a little longer than required by quarantine.
 
I'll stick to it nonetheless Bob. This fodder store gets its pullets from one of the better breeders, with their various flocks getting lots of free-range time, although they incubate instead of using hens.
