Yes! And even better, she's not frightened of me and often brings the other two over to sit near my chair. In effect, she's slowly showing them that I'm OK really and not to be scared of me.

I think you know my idea about slow blinking or slowly looking away being something that chickens find reassuring, so I've been doing a lot of that too. It seems to calm them down if they're anxious about me.

Wow - thanks for looking that up. Fascinating. I already read in my chicken history book about how it was the Romans who introduced chicken to the British diet.
The Romans also had large scale incubators for hatching eggs.
