I like eating breakfast with the little ones their peeps are lovely. Lorna is snoozing, Edie is preening and Katie is stretching her wing out over a stretched back leg like they do.

Mary's off the nest, so I'll go take a photo to record the position of her eggs. I'm sure she's been turning them but it's nice to see evidence.

None of the marks are showing. But number two is top right.

Ivy is laying her eggs in the little coop, but Janet and Peggy are using the trusty laundry basket.

Yesterday Mary did not roll Ivy's egg in with the others.

Looking over, I can see Mary's still drinking. She's been at the water for almost 10 minutes. It was warm yesterday and will be warm again today. So I'm glad she's taking lots of water.

The moon was so full and bright last night, when I got up to go to the loo and peeked at the pullets, they were up and about.

Tsk tsk tsk. Teenagers!

No wonder they're snoozy this morning.

The forecast is 34 and sunny all day. The sleepout will be rather stuffy so I'll open the door to the back porch and leave the fan on and pointed at the floor all day. Hopefully that'll be enough to create a breeze that keeps them from overheating and that they can escape from if needs be. At least the concrete floor is cold to the touch.

I'll turn on the misting system in the funrun for the ladies. It'll give them plenty of options for cooling down.

She told her friends and now there's a rush on.
