Lovely old suitcases in the cellar. Nice job at tidying.Just checking in to say I'm slowly catching up on my byc reading. I've caught up on Shad's and Ribh's threads. But I'm still behind on Manue's.
I'm rather hectic, with two households of chooks and cats, fulltime professional commitments, and working on the cellar and on the roost in my free time. I'm also adjusting to a minor health challenge.

Imagine all that stuff and more in a jumble on the floor, up to the thighs and higher in some places. It's good to have made so much progress. I still have another flat pack shelving unit on the way, then it'll be put together and even more stuff sorted, put in boxes, labelled and stored away.
The hens and the youngsters are doing very well, and the red marauders are gradually settling down but are still a little too overwhelming for all the other chickens (and me). Both red marauders have settled down enough to establish egg laying routines.
One recent change is I put straw in a cat travel box with a couple of fake eggs and it's become a very popular nest. It's in a hidden spot between the laundry and the fence and its entrance is curtained by some greenery.
It's so nice to hear from you. I sure hope your health issues are not too serious. Miss you.Just checking in to say I'm slowly catching up on my byc reading. I've caught up on Shad's and Ribh's threads. But I'm still behind on Manue's.

Good job, it's impressive you can tackle all this at the same time. Do take care of your health- I think it comes before organizing the cellar in life's priorities! @MaryJanet you know @ManueB is right! In case, with all this flurry of activity you have forgotten how to rest, let me remind you how.Good job, it's impressive you can tackle all this at the same time. I hope the red marauders calm down a bit now they are getting into a routine!
And ah, please don't worry about catching up on my thread, the last thing I want is making people spend more time than they should in internet. I have to learn to be more sober and post less words and pictures to say the same thing.
Congratulations!
