MJ, I know you saw the post about my Eli's alarming poop (if it even was poop), After that icky mess she drank like crazy for two days and had copious, completely liquid diarrhea.
She was behaving perfectly normally, but I was anxious.
Today I posted this and thought you would want to see.

This morning she's screaming at anyone who approaches the nest. So I'm thinking she's delighted at having got through the night on her nest and wil sit tight today and maybe tomorrow before getting up for self-care.

Edie has proven me wrong and got up for self-care on day 1 of sitting.

Here she is tanking up on food.

Katie had been in the run with her for a couple of hours.

Everyone else is out in the garden.

She was sitting on the two fake eggs and two of her own. I confiscated all four.

I'm glad she's up already! I like not having to worry about whether she's ok.

She can sit it out but I'll need the fakes to get the others laying in the replacement nest.

Grooming together strikes me as a sign of friendship. Maybe Katie will try the big coop tonight.

I hope the red marauders will fit in somehow. I feel kind of sorry for them...even if they are marauders .

Oh they're doing great! I'm proud of them today because they haven't harassed Edie at all.
