At my place three teams are slowly merging into one flock. There are still squabbles around food and Christa's still an outsider, but the general vibe is improving.

Joyce murdered a tiny gecko today. I know that's what she's supposed to do, but after the first glance, I couldn't watch.

Good for her and there is no need for you to watch if you don't want.

We used to have lovely ocellated lizards living at our place. We really enjoyed watching them, especially the couples. Our cats have decimated them and they don't even eat them, just tear them to pieces to play . The cat's main job is to hunt and kill mice, so it's difficult to keep them from hunting other species.

If only the cats and chickens would be more discerning and not eat the poor lizards.

It might not look like much, but there are 8 hens in this photo. Getting along, but giving each other some room.

You can see how the red marauders dominate. Four old girls in a group, two little ones in a group.
