MJ's little flock

I'm extremely pleased with Janet today. She's eating lots of mash and lots of dry food, and drinking. There's kefir in the mash and probiotics in the water.

The swelling around her eye is completely gone. She's sneezing very little and it's only after drinking, so perhaps it puts a tickle in her throat.

She's been policing the pullets' access to the big coop, chasing them off when they get too close.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

Well, I just tried to stick vinyl floor tiles to the walls of the new roost, thinking they'd reduce opportunities for mites to find homes and they'd provide some wipe-down ease of cleaning. It was a mistake. They wouldn't stick to the paint and the miniscule gaps between the tiles would be enough space for mites, which introduced even more mite houses than existed before. So that won't be happening.

It's a good decision because now I can say the walls are finished and I can press on with the floor panels.

Floor panels?
I must be remembering wrong. I thought the design was essentially without a floor.
