MJ's little flock

I wondered if the one on the right in the middle photo might be a boy. Is that the one who stands upright?

They seem like lots of fun!
No. That one is piglet. I hadn’t even got my hands organized to show her where the water was after our drive and she was already chowing down.
It is I think the one in the first picture. But tbh I cannot yet reliably tell that one from the one on the left in the middle picture.
I need to give them both a close study later today.
So it could be I have two who are very assertive but they take turns.
The glutton however is in no doubt. Reliably first to feed. Mash and dry. It is all fuel to her!

Are you in a position to have a boy?
Unclear.
My town is tiny and mainly rural but with some hangover suburban rules based on when people commuted into Manhatten. Those times are long gone because we are not on a main train line but sometimes the rules pop up. Mostly there aren’t any rules except about buildings and lot lines.
When I first called to ask about chicken keeping they seemed surprised to be asked!
But on the other hand I have never heard a rooster here which makes me suspicious that there is a rule.
The farm stand lady whose eggs I buy as well as the farms I get meat are all in neighboring towns so their rules don’t count.
My plan was to face it if and when I had to. Yes, I know, that isn’t actually a plan. More a life philosophy!

Hmmm I'm thinking of royal ladies known for liking their food. Victoria? And Queen Anne was on the portly side. No wonder with all her fruitless pregnancies and dead children, poor woman. 17 pregnancies and there were no surviving heirs when she died. I can't even imagine that much sadness.

I believe you are right, Anne was on the stout side. And yes, so sad.
This little piglet however has hollow legs and is rather small. She just eats constantly.
I know it is what baby chicks do, but even within that context she stands out as a glutton.
She has already learned the sound of me unzipping the tent door as a potential introduction of a plate of mash and comes running straight for it. The others wait to see what is going on - but I think in her mind that wastes precious eating seconds!

Oh boy, a 5 on the NYT Wordle. But a 3 on the other one. However, I did get 3:14 on extreme Sudoku last night, which was quite a thrill while not my personal best.
I think I was back in safe 4 territory on NYT Wordle but I got introduced to Spelling Bee (previously it was blocked on my account). This is a disaster as it is driving me up the wall!

She will be easiest to train if you want.

Not yet. We really have only just met and I can’t reliably even tell all of them apart.
So far I know I have a glutton, a flyer, and one who might be a boy. Theoretically they are all girls, but one stands very upright and is very assertive!
I didn't take the time yesterday to say how happy I am for you. Chicks !!! You must have your hands and heart full ! :wee :wee :wee
I hope you are feeling better now and the fever is coming down.

My plan was to face it if and when I had to.
My "philosophy" also . You make it sound so much better than "wait until the last moment to cope with trouble" 🤣.
