Sometimes that is just what the doctor ordered.And I'm fresh as a daisy this morning! When my work life was less hectic, I would be at gig with friends most weekends, drinking, dancing, and talking to the wee hours. Looking back it was a glorious time. Anyway, back then I learned to have berocca and two headache tablets before leaving home, then two more headache tablets on returning home after the night out. No hangovers! And I'm delighted to say it still works
Last night was fun. It was a bunch of old mates at a quiz night put on by the workers club. We won except that we withdrew our labour in the last round when the crowd were asked to come to the stage to demonstrate how they call their life partners to dinner, which we found politically offensive for excluding singles, for humiliating both participants and audience, and for being inspired by youtube and thus by algorithms. So we came second.
It's quite a moment when the those with all the answers are trumped in the final moments by people imitating youtube videos!
