MJ's little flock

I was going to ask why Aussie ? She’s a barred rock right ? And then I realized 😬.

I know. So many chickens and names to keep straight.

I should be more worried about Janet who's struggling against her bacteria again.

I am so sorry to hear that this has returned yet again,. The poor dear. :hugs :hugs

Surprised she can get that high with how she eats.
Well, first off she is a Legbar and true to form she does fly a lot. It seems to me she does so just for the joy of it. Secondly this was clearly a mistake. She took off and the tree got in the way. I was alerted to the situation by the blood curdling shrieks.
She might never forgive the fact that I laughed.

That's outstanding. 😆

I’d fly for the sheer joy of it too, if it weren’t for those pesky trees. :D

Christa's lincospectin was extremely good for Janet but now they're on chicken probiotics, she's floundering. Today's the last day of probiotics (day 10) so I'll see how she goes for a week or two before trying kefir.

Christa passed some shell this morning, a broken strip roughly as long as a finger but held together with membrane, and she'd passed something very small and egg-like overnight. I say egg-like but there was no discernable yolk or shell and it was about the size of a human's thumbnail.
