I was so worried about Mary getting down from the roost box.
Thoughts
Log ladder might give her bumblefoot.
She's too heavy to fly.
She might be frightened on a long ramp.
She might sprain a leg.
What if she slips?
I got up very early to let the ramp down and assist her if needs be.
She had already got down somehow! I assume she walked along the ramp like pirates walk the plank, and I guess she must've jumped down. No sprained ankles. No harm at all! Just a happy hen who, judging from her crop and cheerful demeanor, had already had her breakfast.
And someone had found the food in the roosting box because there were footprints beside it and four misplaced pellets.
From the poops, I'd say everyone slept exactly where I'd left them.
