Aussies are voting in a referendum today. If the answer is yes, our constitution will be amended.

It's only the second referendum I've ever voted in. The first one was to become a republic and it turned out no.

I had martial arts training this morning (8am on a Saturday!), then I wandered up 100m up the road to my son’s high school and voted. Then walked home and had breakfast. I got a squat from Snowy.

I think I'll vote at lunchtime and stop in at the local cafe for a bite after. I think my closest polling station is the local church. They don't usually put on a bbq, which means there shouldn't be a queue. So the vote itself shouldn't take long.

Hubby’s just gone off to cast his vote. When I went this morning there was a cue, so I jumped on BYC. When I got to the polling official, she was really apologetic about the wait time. I was like “Meh, that’s what phones are for!”

I thought I'd better nudge my brother in case he'd forgotten. Turns out he voted a week ago at his local library!
