MJ's little flock

I can't wait to see what your garden looks like!
Me too!! 🤣 I've asked the designer (my cousin's friend) to be a budget conscious Gertrude Jekyll. She laughed and said no worries!

Seriously, it should be quite nice with a central path to the house, a humble water feature in the centre, frangipanis either side of the path, maybe an arbour over the pedestrian gate for a vine to grow on? There might be bits of turf here and there.

That sounds wonderful! 🥰

Still, one can imagine......
Yeh!! It's the fun part!

On Friday and Saturday mornings, the concrete guys put the steel in place. I think maybe they'll make the forms on Monday. Hopefully the concrete will pour Monday or Tuesday.

Then it'll cure for a while before the posts go in. Once the posts are in, it'll be time for the finishes.

What’s under the plastic?
Compacted new fill - it was previously on sea sand which doesn't hold its shape. They'll pour the concrete into the trenches and over the top of the fill and with the steel running through it. The engineer designed it that way to ensure it wouldn't subside again.
