MJ's little flock

You have more patience than I do - I would have left it to it about 10 minutes ago and gone for a walk!
In the end, I left it to do its thing and went to a training session. By the time I got back, the pc was ready for use.

I don't often use this office, so it's no surprise that computer needed so many updates.

I'm hatching a plan.

There's a sheet of unused but painted ply I wasted when I was learning how to build the roosting box.

At present it rests on logs which the mice use as cover for the on and off ramps to their superhighways.

Here's the side of the roosting box.

If I attach the sheet of ply to the horizontal beam with hinges, it'll be possible to fold it up at night and hook it to the vertical beam. If the ply has two legs, also on hinges, it can be let down in the morning to provide extra shade.

Then I can remove the logs. And have a flat surface at workbench height on which to do things like weigh the hens in the evening. And it'll fold up out of the way when needed.

Hmmm seems like an easy project.
I love this idea! It would a great Saturday project around here

Something weird is going on. The last two nights I've forgotten two things. First I forgot to set the dishwasher and the washing machine. The next night I forgot to set the dishwasher and to hoist the hens' ramp for the night.

I guess I'm transitioning from being on my holidays to work.
Other things cluttering your mind. The routine will return in time.

Thanks Bob!

In other news, I was visited by Mr Fox last night. No harm done to the hens. It's good to be reminded of the foxes.
