I don't expect to get through it all, especially as I have a head cold. But I'd rather have a list than forget something.

I enjoyed the 2024 season of winter weekend cafe breakfasts, but nothing compares to eggs supplied by my backyard friends

Just a list of tasks

Bury Christa
Have a think
Close a sparrow opening
Rake up and out
Magnet sweep
Clean out boxes
Spray little coop
Spray boxes
Attach boxes to sawhorses
Fresh straw
Install table
Start a grass bed
Top up potting mix
Pick up half bricks
Weed the side patch
Pick up the rubble

Not a short list for sure.

Thanks Bob. It seems to be passing quickly. I'm into the uncontrollable coughing phase already.

I was quietly clearing some space in the chickens' run to dig a grave for Christa when I heard a suspicious rustle.

I did 4 items on the list.

Christa has been sent on her journey with some flowers, 5c for the ferryman, and a few sunflower seeds in case she gets hungry. I planted a lovely pink double lavender above her.

I've raked the run and shovelled up a lot of waste.

The thinking was nice.

And I ran over the run with the big magnet and binned another handful of metallic bits and pieces.
