Thanks! I have lots of Barred rocks they are really sweet but the roosters are horrible!!!!!!! D:

Don't tell me that! I think that one of my Barred Rock chicks is a rooster and I want him to be nice so that I can keep him and have Barred Rock hatching eggs!

This is Miss Kay (I think that she is a female)

This is Phil (I think that he is a rooster)

I am just hoping all the girls ARE girls, a few people were saying boys take a lil longer to feather out and well 4 have their wing feathers come through and the start of their tail feathers but the other 2 are a little behind ...

If you want to post pics maybe I could help.

Quote: Sorry I don't mean to scare you but Barred rock roosters are known for their aggression. :( I had to sell mine because he was so mean. Thanks for following by the way. You are right chickenpooplady, the top one is a pullet the bottom one is a cockerel. Good Luck!

Anyway, I did give Cosette a bath, with much trouble.

The first part didn't go to badly, I put her in and she was very relaxed and seemed to like being in water.

That was my setup, pretty redneck I know.

She liked it for about thirty minutes. Then she squished out and went free ranging (With out my permission). I went quickly to the house and brought the Epsom salt and put it on her butt/vent while she tried to run away. Well, now she is a mess and has Epsom salt all over her (whoops). So did I do anything wrong? I have never come across vent gleet before so I wouldn't know.

Hope she gets better soon.

P.S Sorry that I couldn't get more pics during this "drama", I was rushing so I couldn't get to many good shots.

That's ok. I am going to hold him as much as possible and hope that he gets use to me and does not become aggressive.

I love your redneck setup! I can't tell you how many things are redneck rigged around my house! By the way, Cosette is beautiful! I hope that she gets better!

I honestly would hold him as little as possible, All the roosters that I held, and was affectionate to , were the ones that turned mean. The ones that I never held, and was very aloof to are the ones that turned out, just a thought.
