mmmm, peaches and cherries

I love summer when the stone fruit comes ripe!

We scored about 13 pounds of cherries today, and we just had freestone white peaches for dessert.

Next stop, JAM!

So, what do you do with stone fruits?

my cherries and blueberries are ripe now, I am going to make pie!

We have to HUGE cherry trees, we don't eat very many and so I give lots of them to the chickens. They love them, I have seen them jumping up to the low branches to grab them.

My cherry trees are dinky; the birds get them all. A couple more years with chicken compost and that will change!
