Yes, please do! I wish they had a website as I'd like to know what breeds they have and see some pictures of their stock. If any of you happen to buy from them before I do, please let me know your experience, and maybe post a picture or two of your new additions.

MN Chicken Lovers ROCK!!!!!

I had a rooster flying in from WA state, and he got 'lost' in the mail. Was shipped garanteed 3pm next day delivery to a specific Post Office and he didn't arrive!!

So Jean (Pips&Peeps) and I were frantically calling the U.S. Postal system, trying to find my beautiful bird.

I had arranged to go and get one of Michelle and Sandy J's roosters that she has for free on "Chicken Buy/Sell/Trade", and was telling her the whole story while waiting for a call from the Airport Post Office. She volunteered to go to the P.O., no matter how late, so that I could go home to my boy.

The Post Office called at 9:48pm, and I called Michelle. I asked her if it was too late, and she said, "Of course not!" And she and Sandy J went and got my beautiful boy, took him to Michelles, fed and watered him, cuddled him and got him set up in a large kennel, so that he has space to relax until I get him this afternoon after work.

Thank You, Thank You, THANK YOU!!!!!

Wisechicks,
Us chicken people have to stick together!! It was fun to go get that chicken. We thought of it as a night out on the town! HAHA!! Especially only 2 miles from the airport postoffice. That bird is beautiful!!!! Nice seeing you again.

Hey, everyone. I know this is off-topic, but I thought I would send y'all an invite.

If you are open on Valentine's Day Night (02/14), I am playing a V-Day concert/dinner with a very cool ensemble. It's myself on guitar and vocals, 2 female singers, and a keyboard player (no loud full band).

We will be playing lots of V-Day-themed music, lighter rock & pop, great vocal harmonies (F-wood Mac, Little Big Town, Springsteen, Anna Nalick, etc.)

It's north out of the Cities a ways near Milaca. I know that's a haul for some of you (but close to you, lilshadow?).

It's at the Northern Lights Banquet Center in Pease, MN (again, near Milaca) off Hwy 169. Here's a link to their site:

I'm excited about this show. I'm used to doing loud, high-energy rock with a full band, so this will be different. It'll be our first show as a combined group (don't even have a name yet), but the practices we've had have really been cool.

Anyway. Just thought I'd throw it out there, and invite my MN BYC friends.

Thanks again for getting together earlier this month - It was great meeting you all.

Ron

Sounds like a blast!!! I wonder how a 5 yr old would act at an event like that. I get my beloved nephew for valentines weekend

My sister somehow thinks we never do anything for any holidays so i usually end up with him which isn't a bad thing unless i am due for a night on the town. I will definately try to make it.

I think it would be okay for a 5-year-old. The music will be romantic, and nothing that would be too much for him.

I would love it if you could make it.
