Modified Purina Coop with full instructions and pictures (STAGE 2)

Yea I am getting 3 guys to help me move it this weekend after I get the walls up. my coop right now is soaking wet but I put my vinyl floor down already

We are working on this as well. You may want to move it first. The roof is extra heavy once done. We do not have our walls up but the roof is on ours. If you have couple of extra hands the weight may not matter at all.

Sorry fellow chicken gangsters, I need one more day to get the roof and laying box plans to you.. I had to work late tonight... I will start on it as soon as I get home tomorrow night

and yes we will be moving it prior to anymore work going into it...

Hey Mike, is the vinyl floor to make it easier to clean up? what else are you putting down? I may wish to include in the build .. thanks!

yes it helps with cleaning the coop you can hose it off with out rotting the wood. I got a 8X6 roll from home depot for 25.00 and 6.00 for the glue. with out something on the wood it would not last more then a year. no worries on the plans I am hoping tomorrow night to fix the legs, get the walls up. Also thinking about what I can do for roasts I have a few birch trees we are taking down I am thinking of using that wood for perchs. Also I can not paint until all the wood dries out. So best outlook is by sunday I will be caught up to the roof and walls being done. I am working solo so it takes a little longer

I will still use pine shavings and straw on the floor but clean up is easier. I will be using the left over in the nexting boxes as well. I am in Ct as well, what part of the state are you in? I am in Watertown

Hi Sam and Domino.

Am referring to the beginning here, viz., "Step 2 "Add 2x4 sections into base flooring." You lost me there. Am not modifying the Purina Plan, so am not sure what you are referring to when you say there are openings for mice.

Can you help with a simple interpretation. Am referring to the Purina Materials listing for the Floor Assembly: the listing seem to differ from their drawing.
E.g., They list (4) 2x4 - 42"
E.g., They list (2) 2x4 - 45"
E.g., (1) 3/4 plywood - 45"x45"

Their Floor Framing Drawing shows two sets of widths & lengths dimensions: Internally arrows 45" x 45", and another with external arrows 38" x 41"
This is confusing to me. I can understand the plywood dimensions. It will fit the internal arrows 45"x45". But, where do the 38" x41" dimensions fit? What do I do with the external 2x4s? I had Home Depot cut me (4) 2x4s that are 42" in length and (4) 2x4s that are 45" in length. So I have the lumber but am not sure of the meaning of the 38"x41"/

Please tell me what they mean! Will really appreciate that. Am just beginning!!!

This is due to the fact we are making a 4x6 foot coop for our 6 chicks.. so the floor dimensions are larger.. I will have a pdf of the rough drawing up tomorrow morning.. I need to scan them in.. the autocad drawings will be up as soon as I can finish.. since we are constantly reworking the other stages as we go I cannot put up more than I have done so far.. Thanks for understanding!

@James I PM'd you a photo the question you had.
