Well I admit I did not read all 24 pages of this-I do know what you are saying though. As someone else mentioned-many of the BYC people have known each other for years and/or know each other IRL. Also, as in real life, some people are just more witty and humorous, and they seem to draw crowds. I wouldn't say it's as bad as high school, but I do hear ya!

Purple Chicken is hilarious... I started out wondering about him... silkies and all... but he has been helpful in many aspects and he has the brains to get it on with the liberals... all the while living in Connecticut... That's no mean feat. As for postings... it's just the same as life casue it's all just folks... I don't mind being ignored

Just gotta let people be people. I still think that the reason most folks are drawn to chickens is because they are the most like humans in nature. They don't thrive on their own well... they need to be in a group. Put them in a group and you get the whole status, pecking order thing. A weak one is either ignored or pecked to death. No mercy and no shame. And then there is the constant griping... chickens are people with feathers.

I'm new here too, and most of my posts are down by the wayside.....
But as a member of other boards, it takes time for people to get to know you. In my other groups, I tend to answer posts from people I know in real life.........

I like PC, even though his encouragement got 200 chicks.............But seriously, don't let your feelings get hurt.

Hey, it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. Used to show how many times your thread had been viewed so you'd see that it had been viewed 2,567,892 times and yet zero posts.
