"Bandit, please wake up!!!" Shadow shouted again.

Bandit lay suddenly still and his heart shuddered.
~~~~~~~
Fin, being a motherly sort of dog, raced to where they were.
Fin chewed her lip anxiously. "He's still breathing," he noted. "But he's on the brink. And burning up, to top it off." She thought for a moment, chasing her tail, and then stopped. "I'll have to get the Master," he decided. "He'll know what to do." Fin raced off swiftly toward the woods and vanished.
"Thank you, Fin!" Sienna called after her.
"Mommy, will Bandit be all right?" Ariel asked frantically.
"I don't know, dear. I don't know." Sienna said sadly.
Ehh... Donut cushions are these round things made out of foam, or inflatable. They have the middle cut out. Mine is for an internally bruised tailbone...
Ooh... That's gotta hurt. I once bruised my tailbone badly in a sledding "accident". They had built a ramp out of snow. The first time I went down, I collapsed in the snow and was fine. 2nd time, I landed REALLY hard on my tailbone. I was trying not to cry...
Ouch...I hurt my tailbone while sledding too, it was really icy that day on the mountain.
It still hurts whenever I sit directly on it.
(Guys, time lapse of half an hour?)
Fin returned about 30 minutes later, a middle-aged man tailing behind. He wore a close-cropped brown beard, a baseball cap set at a jaunty angle, blue jeans splattered with paint and dirt, and a dirty T-shirt. He carried a big brown bag and followed Fin at a distance, careful not to spook the horses. Still, he wanted them to go away to make sure they wouldn't charge at him to protect the foal.
