Skittles knelt down slowly, lowering her back half to the ground. To much excitement for one in her condition and all she felt like doing was eating her favorite apple treats and beating Fritz into the dirt.
But of course, neither of those options were available. She missed her home, her stall, her treats. Out here was just to much for her, what if one of those cats came back, this time for or her baby? What if she was far from the herd when it happened?
She sighed heavily and laid her head down, letting her ears droop and feeling very sorry for herself.

Sky, with her two front hooves planted in the soft dirt, kicked the tree with all she had.
A few leaves fell but the bird which had just returned to perch, did not budge.
She turned and snorted at it, the evil little thing, it kept diving at her for no apparent reason. She could not find a nest or it's mate, and she firmly believed it was plain old crazy.

Glade galloped away from her old home, glad it to have extra weight on her back. She would miss Elizabeth though. At the top of the hill she stopped, the last of her plaits slowly unfurling in the breeze. She had been here before, but this was different now, now it was her home. Glade used to be frightened of the long grass that grew on the way down the hill, wispering and swaying. She came to near the border of the woods. And there was her herd.

"Leaf-i," Levi mumbled. "Tair-ee..."

"Yes, my name is Terry!" Terry said, "And your name is... Hmm.. Leafi... Lefi... Leevi.. Levi?"

Ivy rose from where she lay in the tall grass. Her two foals tried to follow. The first, a snow-white colt with a creamy yellowish-white mane and tail, round black dots along his back and blue eyes, struggled up first. He stood for a moment, his legs splayed out comically, then fell. After three more tries he was standing by himself and suckling Ivy's milk. The other foal, however, was another matter. It was a filly, quite different from her brother; she had a ragged, wet golden coat and a white mane and tail. Her eyes were big, a shiny reddish-brown. Ivy wondered how a palomino foal could come of an Appaloosa and a dun Arabian, but her love for the weak little filly overcame her doubts. The golden foal tried to rise from the ground but could not. Each time she fell before she had even gotten to a standing position. Still, Ivy thought, she's probably just not as strong as most - I'll stay here a while to give her some time.

Levi's eyes grew bright with happiness at being understood.

Sienna decided to go see what all the commotion was, and so trotted over to see Ivy's new foals. "Ivy, they are so pretty," she said.
