they are all outside and happy it saddens me that we dident get lary out sooner he developed a leg problem but something came up that we couldent get there fencing done! but we finally got it donw and larry is learning how to go in the weeds with his leg but its going great and im HAPPY that putting them out is making them GROW!!!!!!! i have many good friends who raise emus! but i need to ask! agian! .......with sexing lol i know theres no way unless blood and feather testing BUT could balding and non balding play in the sexing ...... like moe and larry are balding already and there almost like 8 months and shouldent be balding so im told so ......................lol male and female maybe lmfao

If you mean by balding , they are just coming out of the blackhead phase. No , it plays no role in sexing them whatsoever.
Also, it looks like you " may " have yet even another one that may have developing leg issues, looks like one's left foot could be turning.
Could be just the way it's standing in that particular photo but keep an eye on that bird and watch that foot and leg, just in case.

Lack of fresh air and sunshine, not to mention a proper diet for many months, is a contributing factor to any leg ( and other ) vital proper growth issues .
Also, what is going on around that ones left eye, did it get pecked a lot ?

Suggest you get them on a good balanced diet asap and add vitamins to their diet, assorted B vitamins are very important for proper growth issues but again...a balanced diet is key. Also keep the protein on the low side in their feed.
Are you feeding them rabbit pellets and corn ?

Absolutely can't stress enough the importance of big spaces for these little birds. And toys that exercise them -- someone had footage of a chick with a 'weasel' thingie -- wouldn't hurt either.

In the wild, chicks only inches high cover great distances.

[Number One is here today, foomfing at wild birds encroaching on her space, and gobbling lilly pillies from under the tree.]

AND HELLO DRUMSTICK DIVA!

yep i know that is for shure we planned on getting them OUTSIDE by early spring since the LARGE stall we had was able to hold them WELL until a couple months old but then for us winter never ended untill literally may and then we came into some tough money ect so it was a mess but as for diet they are on a good diet we feed a mix of EVERYTHING including emu feed. but now they have a HUGE pen to run and play with there toys we have for them they seem to like the horses rope lead not to mention the water to play in we bought them a kitty pool! lol there in love with it! like i said we knew about emus ect the need to run we let them in the large walk way in our barn they got LOTS of exercise but he still got it and there going to be getting even a BIGGER .....field!!!! soon i cant wait for that
