Moisturizers

Olay's "Total Effects 7-in-1 Advanced Anti-Aging Body Wash, Exfoliate & Replenish" works pretty good for me. I know for sure it doesn't dry out skin since I (mistakenly) used it at first as a body lotion.

Works much better as a wash.

Most of the heavy duty name brand moisturizers for "damaged skin" (including most of the high dollar ones recommended by my cancer docs/derms) have really disappointed me. Cocoa Butter Vaseline ($3) has worked better than any of the high dollar moisturizers. I do get great results with Nivea Cream in the blue tub on my post-radiation damaged skin. Vaseline has always been a cheap, tried & true go-to for millions because it works, but it's so heavy and greasy. I tried the Cocoa Butter vaseline...it's thinner & lighter so it goes on easier and isn't as greasy. So for me, it's Nivea Cream for body and cocoa butter vaseline for feet.

I'll look into that. With costco cupons on these lotions once a year I can stock up on them and it comes out to about $3 for each 24 ounce bottle. The only pricey one is the face lotion. Thanks!

Just lotions from Vaseline. And whatever sample lotions we get, we have a face lotion from Dial..it smells good and is very moisturizing. I want more, but I haven't been able to find it at stores yet, so it might not be out.

My wife makes homemade loction. Vaseline, baby lotion and vitamin E. Blend it all together in a blender. Put it in jars. Wonderful stuff.

I can't use anything with oil in it on my face. Unfortunately, that seriously limits the selection of lotions.

I've found that Neutrogena oil free moisture is good, the combination skin kind, and also the SPF 35.

Silkychicken, I had a friend years ago who had eczema. It was very high maintenance. Summer was best for her. I hope maintenance tx's have improved in the last 15 years-since I knew her.

As a lay-person who just has super dry peely cracking hands due to nursely hand washing , I have found the best relief with A&D ointment. I don't know if it helps - I know ecxema is an auto immune thing (???). Something like that.

Be an ingredient reader-you begin to see that there's alot out there that has the same ingredients, and you can cut down on what you try. I just went thru a few years with dry flaky facial skin, red raw areas, and I mean raw!. Nothing worked. No moisturizers. Then I switched to not using a wash cloth, and switching to O of O wipes and towlettes that foam up and clean. Then moisterizer. Flakes are gone. I don't know what soap you use, and I'm sure you've tried them all. It made the difference for me. But I'm pretty sure you know all this. But I feel better now ,
