Aloha! This is our first time with baby chicks... they are about a week old and we have six of them... they all seem super happy and healthy, except that one for sure has this molasses looking poop... she looks and acts fine as I said, but this poopy condition started 2 days ago and hasn't improved. They are all drinking water with electrolytes and vitamins in it as well as medicated feed... maybe I should just go for plain water... ? And does anyone know if this is something I should be concerned about?
Thanks and any feed back is appreciated!

Thanks for the link... but none of those look like this! The chick is still totally happy and healthy seeming, but the poop looks exactly like molasses... not bloody. Do you think the medicated feed will help with whatever the issue is? Or maybe it is the problem....? Yesterday was the first day without the electrolytes in the water... I want to see if maybe that was just overkill with the feed... any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Welcome to BYC. This post is from 2010 and it looks like the poster has not been on BYC since then.
go to the raising baby chick forum and make a new post asking about the poop. a pic, chick age, type of feed, water supplements, treats, etc is good info to know so others may help. Before posting your query check that the topic has not been well covered already (when you make a new thread in a forum a listing of similar topics will appear below it). Good luck 🍀
