So a reader responded to my molt question ... saying there are breeds that molt less and not as long ... but failed to list these breeds! Does anyone have any input as to what breeds these might be?! Thanks.

Maybe not the answer to your question but I do know that hybrid layers (at least mine) do not molt much. So I'm talking about sex links like red star, golden comet, black star, ISAs, cinnamon Queen, etc. but these are hybrids and not actual breeds.

I have also noticed that super productive hatchery layers like Leghorns and production reds do not seem to molt much either.

My non-hatchery pure breeds molt a lot. Many of them are almost exactly 1 year old and molting- much sooner and a lot more than I expected.
