Hey guys! Thabk you ahead of time for any responses. I'm really clueless with this stuff but I love my girls so much. So when something happens I'm always starving for information on what could be going on. So all of my girls are just under a year old. Got them last spring. The one in question is a welsummer. She is the sweet heart of the flock but also the bottom of the pecking order. She eats last. And has gotten bullied from time to time by the barred rock, Who is the top hen. Last week I came out to find my welsummer missing feathers on he neck and throat. I see new feathers sprouting. My understanding is a hen shouldn't molt her first year. Could they be getting pulled out by the barred rock. Here are some photos. Can anyone suggest what my course of action should be next? Thank you!
