My RR seems to have some molting feathers on the back of her neck and between her wings. This must have happened yesterday or last night. I have checked her for bugs and gave her a warm bath and have not noticed and bugs. She's acting normal. She comes when we call her and allows us to hold her and check her injury. I have not the slightest clue what could have caused this and if we need to separate her from the flock. I heard that they may get picked on by the others chickens.

Other hens might do that if she is low on the pecking order. Also, a Roo can sometimes be too aggressive and cause damage. If you tink it is other hens pecking, I have had luck coating the area with Vicks salve. They don't like the taste and will move on to otherthings. You have to coat them at least daily, sometimes more often, for that to work. You also might increase their protein, if they are feather picking they may be lacking some.

Good luck!
