molting hens maybe, pics

Some of my hens look like they are loosing feathers on their back and under their wings, is this what you would call molting? Does anyone have a pic of a molting hen, this is my first year with chickens and have never seen a molting hen..

Do you have a rooster? He might be tearing up the hens' feathers.

Could you please post photos? It would really help.

Maybe the hens are picking at each others' feathers? That doesn't look like molting.

How old are your hens? And are you absolutely certain you have no rooster? Because that looks like rooster damage to me.
Is every hen laying?
It could be from mites. Look closely at their skin around their vent and under their wings for very small but moving bugs.

If it is mites, what do I do to take care of the problem? And only one of the hens are laying out of 5!

I agree, it looks like rooster damage. Molting starts at the head.
