Molting...I would like to see pics!!!

I would like to see pictures of your hen molting. I think that is what mine are doing but want to make sure. My eggs have decreased the last couple of weeks. Two of my older hens are loosing feathers. I know I do not have mites or lice.

Here's a picture of an extreme molt....I don't think I have any pics of a more normal one. Most of my chickens have molted slower....they still will look pretty shabby...just not quite as bad as this girl!

I went to the chicken house one morning and there were so many feathers on the floor I thought something had attacked her in the night!

Maybe she decided to sunbathe??

Seriously though, it's nice to see those pictures. Since I haven't been through the moulting phase yet, I don't know what to expect. Thanks!

Looks like she is molting to me. Mine looked like that too. The egg production did drop off. The feathers have came back in and now you can't tell who molted. Some of my birds have had mini molts with some feather loss and some have had major molts with a lot of feather loss.
