We bought 15 Bovan brown layers March 26 from an egg producer. They were 1 year old and just going into molt. It's been 13 weeks and the most eggs we have gotten in one day is 3. Wondering if this is normal for this breed. Any thoughts?

Once they have completely refeathered and have recovered from the molt. Not unusual for birds of any breed to molt and take a break in their laying cycle after moving to a new home.

They have all refeathered and have been for about a month. I guess that’s what is so puzzling. I think that they’re used to us especially me. I have one that hops on the feeder in the morning and wants me to pet her on her back. 🙂. Wait and see.
