Little over a year old RIR hen.
She gets picked on, irregularly. The run is large and the bully hens don’t follow her, rather take a peck at her head and she moves off. There are no wounds, the darkness on the back in the pic is dirt from bathing. I’ve separated here a few times, but I perceive the feather loss continues and she is agitated the entire time. If this is molting, it’s been taking quite awhile.
She lays around 4 eggs per week. Color has gradually lightened and there has been an increase In Calcium Coating. I recall she had some calcium coating issues in her first 10 eggs.
Is she molting? Is she getting defeathered by the other birds?
