Molting or something else? Newbie!

Hello all,

new to raising chickens! We have our first 10 Easter eggers and they are about 22 weeks old. A few of them are loosing feathers around their vents and on their bottoms. Is this just molting, or is it something worse?

Hello, and welcome to BYC. It looks like feather pecking/plucking generally caused by boredom and overcrowding in the winter. More space and possibly protein supplementation may help.
