my RIR is 3 months old and is losing feathers. I'm not sure if it is normal or not. Is there a specific period in which they molt? Or are the lost feathers due to her pecking/scratching/cleaning herself?

Could she have mites?

I did want to note that my month old Andalusian molted all her black feathers and is part grey and part black now. It is very confusing.

How would I know if she has fleas/lice/mites? She doesn't scratch or bite constantly.

You can separate the feathers under the wings to check for lice or mites. They are very small, but if the infestation you can see them in most cases, especially at night.
