Molting

Mine are molting now too, I've been giving them extra protein in the form of hard boiled eggs and fish. They like tunafish from the can but prefer when I get fresh fish! Hubs is a charter boat capt, so I usually have fresh fish on hand. I have been cooking the fish first, but the other day he was cleaning a fish out back, and they were like vultures picking up the little scraps that fell off the cleaning table! Hopefully raw fish is ok for them, they loved it!

It's called sushi. And there is no reason why they can't have it raw. My flock routinely eats raw meat in the form of mice, frogs, and small snakes.

Hello there and welcome to BYC! :frow

You can add cooked ground Turkey, a small handful per bird a couple times a week really helps them feather out nicely.

So glad you could join our community! :)
