Momma did WHAT??????

mostly the way she acts. Just like my other 'pullet' 'Bird. (my big guy) lolol. he was a mistake - best one ever. I have had 3 'girls' that ended up being little boys, and they all act just like she does. I had to pick up Elizabeth yesterday to clean a poopy butt, and she screamed bloody murder. Victoria flew up to me and tried to pick her in the face like if she was hurting me and protecting me. she got really jealous!!!!!! Just the curiosity, the affection to me, the way she is lords' over the the rest at times, just overall manners. I hope I am wrong HOPE!!!!!!!! I just lover her to pieces. OH well, if she is a he, I will figure it out one way or another becasue she is not going anywhere come she or he.

hope she's not one? lolol. Na, if it does end up that way, there is NO way he would get along with 'Bird, and there is NO way I am going to part with him, so I will have to do what all good parents do. Build him and Elizabeth their own coop.

DH knows how much I love her (Victoria) and how attached to me she is, so he knows there no way on God's green earth I am going to give her away if she is a he. I just hope I am wrong.

Although it would give me a reason to start breeding them. I could tell him that I could sell the babies and they would pay for themselves!!!!!!

yea, right........

Well, keep in mind that a lot of that is personality type as well. Having had many chicks over the past 8 years, I have had pullets that are all over me like cockerels are supposed to be, and vice versa. Remember the barred rock chick I posted a picture of earlier in this thread? She is possessive of me and she always has been. She still comes flying over to beat up on anyone that dares take my attention from her. I wouldn't sweat it just yet. :)

ok, ok... i will just cross my fingers... :tongue    lol  but hey, maybe i should just tell DH that she IS a he, and he has to build me a new coop anyway! He wouldnt know the difference. lol

:lau Oh I see. Yes, it most definitely must be a cockerel, then. Don't mind if he starts laying eggs, that's normal for Sultans...

Seems tonight I have a sick baby I think. Puffed up, not running around, lethargic, not really eating or drinking. i just made her a scrambled egg and some sugar water. She didnt take much. crap, now what do I do. No sneezing, no discharge, no funny eye gunk, havent seen her poop. I found some crusty butt and cleaned it off but I dont think it was blocking her.

You said they were on medicated chick starter? Coccidiosis presents with similar symptoms, but should be prevented by medicated starter. Check the bag for what medicine is in it and keep an eye out for bloody droppings or any additional symptoms, to be safe. I'm not sure what else could be going on, so hopefully someone with more experience here will stop by and lend you a hand. :hugs
