Monkey...um I mean ROOSTER on my back

I really don't know... but I hope to see the people that we got him from this fall.. and I plan to ask them. I pushed for Celeste to choose him because I just loved all of his colors. He is so cliche' roosterish!!! And I am surprised as to how often you don't see that!

Thank you... I am amazed at how many positive comments I get about Rusty. I thought I was just partial because he is my baby!

No, you are most welcome! That boy is drop dead gorgeous ..not that I'm partial to roos, or anything

He seems Barred, yet something about him looks Faverolle or maybe Phoenix to me? I dunno... maybe cuz Ben is a Salmon Fave and he has the nice iridescent tail feathers and pretty, drape'y like saddle feathers (not sure that's correct for a roo, though)

..Rusty is PURDY, whatever he is!

My fully grown White Rock rooster called Butterbean(he is HUGE!!!) and my nearly grown Black Australorp rooster, Nightshade, feel it necessary to perch on my back sometimes when I am visiting with them. I don't mind when the hens do it, and Nightshade is fairly tolerable, but Butterbean is sooo heavy and he has monster feet. He seriously dwarves the other roosters, including my other Plymouth Rocks. His claws hurt! lol There will be a swift end put to this behaviour once his spurs get bigger. Its not an aggressive thing at all, but I don't want to risk my back when he poses a potential danger.

I have to admit... Rusty had sharper toenails than Midnight. Her feet are deformed and she has one small toe on each foot, so they don't poke me. At least I assume she is deformed. Do Cochins have small toes?

I usually have at least one on my back every night at "bedtime"

My husband laughs and offers no help in removing whom ever it maybe. Audrey or Natalee.

This is Audrey.

She will walk "up" my back as I stand. And then most times I can get her off my shoulder
