well i think we might never know for sure the snow melt has the basement under water and no sign of zombie rats or big foot filled hole with rocks and fixed hole in cellar door. lets see what happens.

Rats can be VERY mean. (They sure LOVE

mice though) You can get a live trap, that way you can find out if it is a groundhog or rat. Also farm stores have a rate bate box and it works excellent. It is about a foot square with a hole on each side for the rat to go in and eat but the poison is secure from other animals. They are also easy to make (we have on in all our barns).
