Looking forward to seeing what you have to sell this coming spring, I may also want some eggs if you sell them fertile for my broodys when and if they do go broody. we are doing a new coop this next spring and want at least 15 more chickens.

I meant to ask if you had goats or cows. we are looking for both kinds of milk and with out chickens having eggs right now we need them to. If you know anyone that has fresh milk and willing to sell please let me know, we can take a drive as far as Dillon any time.

We have lots of cows, but not milk cows. And we have 3 goats but they were just babies this spring so it will be a bit before we get milk out of them either, lol. Kind of stuck in the same situation as you are;) I don't know anybody right off hand but my MIL might who sells milk either goat or cows milk. And I will probably sell some fertile eggs once we are getting more than 1 out of our 31 chickens

. I am excited to see what the chicks look like, if they are going to be like mini RIR's or if they will be more like the cochin mama. So I am so hoping that we get some hatching! They are due about the 11th so I will keep you posted. I bet the kids would be thrilled if Rusty was indeed the daddy! My son Cory has really taken a liking to Rusty too and doesn't want to give him away.

Lol I'm betting you are looking for eggs big time out of 31 lol. I am excited, a little Rusty lol how cool! Can not wait to find out. So can you keep rusty then, or is that to many roosters? Im glad your boy took a liking to him, it's always nice to hear a pet is loved. Especially a pet food lol. Maybe if your mother in law ehas extra she would sell to me, alway looking for fresh anything!
Im still looking to find free range cooking chickens, never had one I hear they are tasty. Seems there is nothing around here, ugh wish I lived in the country!

Anybody also have trouble sleeping last night?
Had thunderstorms rolling through here from 11pm til 3am. Kept me up most of the night.

karla I will have to find out when my DD has her next dentist appt in Helena. We will have to meet up.
I'll bring you some milk. I free range my eating birds and boy are they goooood!
I only have 5 this year, but I'll put your name on one when I butcher them.

We did not have storms, just a brief shower around 6:00 , I think it would be wonderful for a meet girl! I would love to buy your milk and your chicken! Just think, my first un pasteurized milk and my first non store chicken lol that would be awesome! Being a city girl is it true that there is cream at the top of the milk? When I was a kid we got milk in small glass bottles and there was cream on the top, I thought that was the cats meow! Of course I'm fat as all get out lol, could it be from memories lol? Thank you !

Good Morning Montana, I'm taking a short morning break from baleing hay, we have about 20 acres down that I want to get done today. Then maybe another 50 to cut and bale and we'll be done, YEA!!
If anyone out there is looking for a nice young roo, i have a few very pretty and sweet EE's and a Creole Orp that I would hate to butcher. I'm trying to hold off till Sept to butcher, but my SLW and the RIR are starting to go after me when I go in the pen, and the SLW are really big. Shoud be good eating. They do free range, but come running when I have treats, and are like a pack of mini raptors biteing my legs and feet. I can still make them back off when they challenge me, but their days are numbered.
Guess I better go check the hay and see if I can get going on it, looks like we might get some rain today.
