So she’s only lost one feather so far and I wanted to make sure it’s not anything bad and that maybe she just pulled it out by accident. But yeah my month old chick lost a tail feather, they have been preening a lot so I’m pretty sure their feather growth is ok and that I’m just being paranoid. They are currently indoor chicks so I doubt that it’s bugs or parasites. The other chicks seem fine.

I just wanted to know that if something bad could be up if she keeps loosing feathers. She’s a month old bantam chick, thx for any help

Chicks go through multiple molts as they mature. Otherwise they would grow right out of their feathers. Adult feathers generally come in after 3-4 months with the adult tail feathers generally coming in last.
