Month Old Quail Are Dying!

Hello, I bought a couple dozen month old quail, last sunday and they seemed to be doing fine until I checked on them this morning and one of them was on it's side in the corner, I picked it up and it could barely walk, I seperated it and put it in it's own crate, but it died a couple hours ago. I have been watching them a little closer today and it looks like there are two others that are having a little bit of trouble too. Any idea what might have happened and what can be done to make sure the others are ok?

What is the temperature of the brooder at the floor of the brooder? What type of bedding are you using? What does their droppings look like?

It looks like the air temp at the bottom is about 66-67* I'm using straw and adding a new layer each day

What are you feeding them? Is the bird that died particularly thin or did you notice any other symptoms?

They seem crowded in there. How often are you cleaning? There is way too much poop in there for good health as well.

I agree with @Nabiki , that bedding needs to be cleaned out....and the need of a bigger brooder should be a priority! Most likely the chick that died had Aspergillosis....an respiratory infection, caused by dusty, damp, filthy, conditions of the bedding.

Yes I clean my three chicks brooder every other day I think it needs to be cleaned very soon sorry for your loss

The feed store I went to said to give them a 22% all flock, I fed them that for a couple days then after reading some threads on here I went to a bigger feed store to get one higher in protein, that is a 24%, hoping to go out to tractor supply to get something better.
Yes I think it was a bit thin.
The box I have them in is a good deal larger than the one the guy I bought them from. How much space per chick do you suggest?
He also said he cleans his once a week, I've been putting a new layer of on each day, I went ahead and fully cleaned it out today

Is it coccidiosis? I had a huge breakout, and smaller ones with chickens. It mostly effects small chickens I noticed. I just checked and it can effect baby quail. This picture sums it up (look below). There is medication for it! I would recommend medicating them just based off how you described the first baby’s death.
