MONTHLY Swap meet JACKSONVILLE, FLA-----INFO HERE!

Quote:
There are a lot of buyers who come and 15 - 20 vendors. Some vendors come early and leave early and some come late and leave late.
You will see chickens, ducks, peacocks, goats, rabbits, pigs, guniea pigs, - - - you just never know. I have never seen a cow - - -

There are ALWAYS chickens. Some bring only a few and some bring a truckload. Try not to be too late because those who show up with only a few usually sell and leave within the first couple of hours.

Usually there is at least one person with silkies. MOST of your standard breeds will have non-aggressive hens. You have to watch out for the game birds and the banties. They make great momas because they are so o o o o PROTECTIVE of their clutch. The standard breed hens are usually mellow, BUT the roos can be a handful if you don't train them correctly.

So - - - go for the barred rocks, Easter Eggers, Opringtons, Sussex, Wyandottes, etc. PULLETS only

The weather should be cooler and more pleasant this time. I think more people will be at this swap than previous ones, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Don't put your umbrellas or canopies away yet. The temp for Sunday is forecasted to be 91 deg.
