I think we should tell Becky about our idea...I bet Tulani and Kristen would want a pup too

Oh boy, here we go again with another PP/PC project.

I really need that land...

We're thinking of moving to NC. We can get a 4 bedroom 2 bath house on 6 acres for $129,000

And we can have horses

PC move with us. Travis can be homeschooled with me, I can babysit him. And we can have all the chickens and ducks we could ever possibly imagine. And your wife and my mom can get horses. It'll be perfect

I don't mind starting another project. I can use it for my homeschooling or something

This place is 25 minutes north of me off route 8. This must be a mistake.

That's life. I'll tell you that she started brooding with 6 eggs under her. One day, deep into the 21 day cycle, I checked and there were only 4 left, no clue what happened to the missing 2. Too late to put new eggs under her.

Day 21, new chickie hatched, and mama sat intensely on remaining eggs for four more days to no avail. I finally removed the eggs and she happily took up her duties as a new mama, and had baby out free ranging within a few days. I'm happy to have one chick!

Our place is for sale but will take some time to sell. With my wife going to
school and doing her nursing clinicals full time I just don't want to buy again
yet. Looking at deals like that gives me faith for the future.

I can remember when having one chick made me happy,

, but that was a different time in my life, now that I have chickens I want more than one. Let me know when you want more I will talk Pancake into sitting on a dozen for ya. Best incubator money can buy. She allows no one to take any of her eggs.

I feel like a new uncle or something

Well you are an uncle, kind of, in a weird sort of way! I feel like I should give you a cigar or something. How about all the honey you can stand? Funny how something as simple as a baby chick can make you feel so good. I love hearing about where mama came from.
The new chickens you gave me yesterday settled in so smoothly with the rest of the flock that I was amazed. Today they're all out free ranging except Yin and Yang who chose to remain in the pen. Usually I keep the new guys penned up for at least a week before I let them out to range, but today I got brave. Looks so strange to see all the big birds out with one tiny chick in the mix.

Thanks again PC, for everything.
