Mopey weak chick? What can I do

Ok. I'm really new what is corid? And where do I get it, also is there any negative affects if some chicks didn't need it?

Glad you joined us!

Corid is a coccidiostat, which is a medication that inhibits the growth of coccida in an animal's digestive tract. Corid works by simulating certain vitamins that the coccidia eat; when they eat the Corid, they get no nourishment and die. There are no harmful side effects with Corid, though you should give your chicks plenty of vitamins and probiotics after the treatment to build up their intestinal health. If your chicks have Coccidiosis, Corid will help. If not, they won't be harmed.

Good luck!

Sorry about your baby. You can get Corid at your feed store. It can also be called by its ingredient, Amprolium.

Cocci kills fast so don't wait to get them medicated. Good luck and I hope you can get this under control soon.

Thank you everyone for your help, does anyone have any suggestions I live in southern nh and every tractor supply does not have any and every feed store that was open today did not have any either? She's still alive but still sleeping a lot a d really mopey

Thank you so much! I actually got some last night from my awesome vet that sold it to me :) unfortunately I lost the little one right before I was able to give it to her :(. On a happier note there was another one starting to show the same signs and going downhill fast. I gave it a drop of straight corid and made sure she drank some of the medicated water before I went to sleep. Fingers crossed it still continues but this morning she was up and eating and much more active! Hopefully this is a turnaround for them it's so sad watching them go downhill and not being able to do anything :(
